WOW. shot through a full frozen water bottle and it still had so much speed and power that it went straight through my fence!!! only problem with that is that there is a office behind my fence and it has some windows. good pellet but i dont think i will use it untill i go somewhere that has nothing breakable behind it. GREAT JOB GAMO!!!

Many of you report great accuracy, others, not so much. With all the different guns out there, you might want to do some homework. In regular rifles, projectile weight is different for optimal accuracy based upon barrel length, rate of twist, etc. These pelets function in much the same way. They aren't going to perform the same out of a gun shooting 750fps vs one chronoed ant 1100fps. Match your ammo to your gun people. Ill take a well placed shot over excelent penetration any day. One shot. One kill.semper fi.

I bought a new Gamo Shadow Fox, 177 cal air rifle recently to dispense with the rabbits who are destroying all of my roses and plants around my house. The rifle came with a 3-9x40 gamo scope which I mounted on the rifle. I finally got the scope sighted in with daisy flat lead pellets. I did not gfet very good groups, so switched to the free raptors that came with the gun. I had to re-sight the gun in as it was now shooting 6" high at 25 yrds. Once sighted in, the groups were very good. I killed 3 rabbits the first night, one at about 60 yrds. All I could see was his ears and head so shot at the head and killed him with one through the head. I was amazed. The trigger, ever after adjustment, is still very bad at best. I don't undersatnd why they can't improve that.

Generally I don't like these pellets. They are super light and because of this you get some pellets that fly way off mark.
pros:
they increase accuracy
they aren't lead there fore they barrel and your hands don't get covered in lead while shooting.
Cons:
they aren't accurate
they are too expensive to be a regular pellet for a shooter like myself who would goes through 50-100+ pellets every time I shoot.

Compared to previous .177 air guns, the combonation of Gamo Whisper with gold plated Raptor pellets; its like heaven. I have a rat and squirrel problem and it dispatches either nicely with a well placed shot. Thanks
p.s. - do these guns ever need oiling???

I have been shooting and hunting for years and these Raptor rounds are amazing. I keep reading about accuracy problems but for me and my son, both shooting Gamo Whisper Deluxe rifles, can both keep a nickle to dime size grouping depending on the day and conditions.
Not sure what rifles some of you are shooting. I say if it's a Gamo rifle with their ammo you should be able to group like this all day long. Gamo you build incredible air rifles and ammo. We will use nothing but Gamo gear from here on.

Compared the raptor to lead hunting pellet and a wad cutter flat nose shooting through a container full of water.Did this twice with the same results, the two lead pellets did not penetrate the other side and looked the same after the impact, flat, the raptor penetrated the other side and the pellet was not recovered. Then I" tried the raptor in a empty lysol can, these cans are heavy as you know .same results went out the other side no recovery of projectile,\. Then I took a chance on a ricochette by shooting the much thicker neck of the can .It went through and made a dent in the other sise. After cutting the can open I got the raptor to take a look. Other than a small dent, tip was not flat ,it looked the same.I wound not reuse but am sure I could shoot this pellet again considering the little to no change in the appearance of the pellet. This is a tough pellet.I've had ricochette with .22 lr in the same test.Don't get me wrong I know the difference in knock down power and am not trying to

Some have said that the Raptor is flawed. Well, I may agree, But I love this pellet! I have only shot about 500 of these and I do get one every once in a while that goes way off. I looked at one container, checked all the pellets and found 5 out of 50 visually defective. They could step up quality control! Other than that Awesome!!!!! 11 squirls, 6 rabbits, 10 doves and 2 crows with Gamo Hunter 440.

Pretty good. They are very loud, and some times not accurate. But they are very deadly for larger game because they don't expand on impact like lead. DO NOT USE THESE IN PELLET TRAPS!!! I was shooting them in my garage(big mistake) into my pellet trap, they pierced right through the metal backing, through the drywall, and out the siding of our house. These things do increase the velocity though.

This pellet out performs anything I have shot in my Whisper. I am a former Marine and have shot various guns. This modern air gun thing is a little new for me and I am very pleased with the technology. As for the guy who thinks he hears a sonic shock wave when shooting this pellet, 1200 fps is 818 mph. That is supersonic under standard day conditions. Thanks Gamo for a lot of fun and a quality product. CHW

I shot through an organic chemistry text book (oh yeah) and I thought for sure it would stop it. It went through a 557 page text book and 1'' into dry wall. That is insane penetration. As far as accuracy goes, the people who are saying that they get terrible grouping must not know how to shoot. I routinely shoot the same pellet hole at 50 yards with the Whisper. Better accuracy than my 22 rifle by far. I think they just need to spend more time behind the scope or get a new gun, its not the ammo at all.

Enough people say these aren't accurate for me to feel I have to say something. I sighted in at 30 Yards in an indoor range with my gamo socom extreme. I also have the GRT-III trigger (get it) and a very nice rifle rest and am a good shot. These things put out fantastic groups. I have seen better with other pellets and rifles but not by much at all so gamo's accuracy claims are sufficient. Love their velocity, hard hitting power, level of hardness, consistency, and ACCURACY. Get em at walmart for under 6 bucks just something you should know

These pellets are GREAT!! Best performing .177 hunting pellets I've ever shot, I rescently purchaced a Gamo Hunter Extreme, great rifle, I sighted it in, dead on at 50 yards! So, I bought some PBA pellets and whent hunting, I expected to shoot a rabbit, but a coyote came trotting out of the woods and right into my shooting lane, he was about 40 yards away, I put the scope on his head, right behind his ear and took the shot! Crack! I thought for sure he'd run, but he dropped right on the spot! It left an entry hole 1.2 inches wide, great terminal performance, Awsome pellet

Today I made some tests with my Big Cat 1200 and my Gamo Whisper VH. The Raptor PBA pellets made an amazing outcome. From usind the raptor pellets I have killed 18 squirrels, and about 6 rabbits so far. I have only used the Gamo Whisper for about 4 months with the new pellets and I am very pleased. I would highly recommend these pellets with a combonation of the Gamo Whisper and the Raptor pellets. Great Job Gamo!!!

this is by far the fastest ammo i've have shot. It makes a load crack like a .22. but this ammo has flaws it is not accurate at all. the end diameter is not the same on this ammo. gun is locked tight and cannot move.this ammo is all over the place. those that say they grouping 5 in a nickle , they must be shooting a 100 to get 5 together

We did some tests with a PBA Raptor and my AIR GUN 1250 fps. We shoot it from 10 yd.
Our target was one watermelon, soap and one hard dry nut.
I’m very excited with it!
The Raptor made a terrific big hole in the watermelon as well as a 9.5 inch of perforation,
5.0 inch on the soap and cross the nut.
Congratulations GAMO, for the Terrific and Power Raptor.
